Sanctuary Choir - This choir is open for anyone 18 years or older. The Sanctuary Choir sings a wide variety of music from Classical to Gospel. You do not need to have music reading skills or experience to be a part of this choir. If you can sing the melody of a hymn, you can sing in the Sanctuary Choir! The Sanctuary Choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 7:00pm in the Choir Room and leads in worship on Sundays at the 11:00am Worship Service. Childcare is provided free of charge.
Handbell Choir - This choir is also open for anyone 18 years or older. The Handbell Choir meets during the school year on Sundays at 4:00pm in the Handbell Room. Some basic music reading skills are needed, but if you are willing to learn, you are welcome to join the Handbell Choir.
Rhythm Section - If you play guitar, bass, or drums, this might be just the group for you. Our Rhythm Section plays during the 11:00am Worship Service on Sundays and at the Encounter service at 7:00pm also on Sundays. Experience is required. Benji Fleenor and Terry Painter provide leadership for this group. If you are interested in playing with this group, please contact Rev. Mitch Huskison or Benji Fleenor.
Adult Ensemble - This ensemble is composed of singers from the Sanctuary Choir. The Adult Ensemble focuses on more contemporary and gospel music. Participation in the Sanctuary Choir is a requirement for membership in the Adult Ensemble. Membership is determined by the Assoicate Pastor of Music.
Prime Time Singers - This choir is for anyone 55 years or older. The main ministry of this choir is outreach to local retirement, domiciliary, and nursing home facilities. The Prime Time Singers also lead in special music programs throughout the year.
Worship at First Baptist seeks to fulfill this Scriptural mandate. Our congregation is committed to providing services rooted in Scripture and expressed in singing songs of the faith, proclamation of God’s word, and presenting ourselves as living sacrifices ready for God’s service.
8:30 am - Early morning reverent taken place in the chapel, contemplative worship service featuring classic hymns.
9:40 am - Taken place in the sanctuary, Encounter is an experiential, creative, connective and informal service featuring contemporary and updated traditional music.
9:40 am - EncounterKids - The focus at EncounterKids is to lead kids to see how God's word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. At EncounterKidss, we are serious about having fun while helping kids connect to the Bible and to Jesus so they can grow up just like he did. This is taken place on the third floor of the education building.
11:00 am - Regular intergenerational and welcoming worship service featuring contemporary and traditional music. Taken place in the sancturary. *Childcare is provided for children through kindergarten (Second floor of the education building.), Worship booklets are available for children through 5th grade.
4:00 pm - Weekly prayer service taken place at the chapel.
6:00 p.m. - Evening Worship Service in the Chapel.
